Lonas Swaggerty began producing sausage at a time marred by the great depression. Food was scarce and the money to buy it was difficult to find. From his Sevier County farm in Kodak, Tennessee, Lonas created a delicious and affordable quality sausage that became famous throughout the Great Smoky Mountains.
